A pair of Yankee fans got a bit too involved in the World Series on Tuesday evening.

New York's Gleyber Torres popped a ball into foul territory, and the fans — later revealed to be named Austin Capobianco and John Peter — ripped the ball out of the glove of Los Angeles Dodger Mookie Betts. The Yankees were down 2-0 in the game at the time and barely clinging to life, already down 3 games to none in the series.

It was a pretty wild scene, Capobianco and Peter forcibly grabbing Betts' glove and other arm, respectively, to jar the ball loose. Apparently, the pair had talked about helping the Yankees out if a ball came their way.

"We're not going to go out of our way to attack. If it's in our area, we're going to 'D' up," Capobianco told ESPN. "Someone defends, someone knocks the ball. We talk about it. We're willing to do this."

While the moment could've proven dangerous, it ended up mostly harmless — the Yankees went on to win Game 4 while Capobianco and Peter got booted from the stadium.

The internet, meanwhile, gave Capobianco and Peter the meme treatment.

The Yankees and Dodgers play again Wednesday, with New York needing a win to keep their season alive. Hopefully this time no fan will try to help the team quite as hard as Capobianco and Peter.
